Sunday Online

Welcome to Spicer Street online!

We hope that whether you are listening online alone, with friends, or as a family, you will know God’s blessing as you sing, read, pray and listen to on the online resources on this page.

Each Sunday, a new morning service will be here by 9am, and a new evening service will be here by 6pm.

Last Sunday's services are here.

Sunday morning: 27th September

Welcome: Phil Vance

Song: “Hymn of the Saviour”
All age teaching: Dan Hook
All age song: “Jesus Strong and Kind”

Sunday School Option

For those with children up to 7 years of age, you may like to spend time with the Sunday School material and then join in with the virtual tea/coffee meeting at 11.30am.

Pray:

    • A prayer for harvest. Adapted from “God the Source of All Good” in Valley of Vision:

“O Lord God, who inhabits eternity, the heavens declare your glory, the earth your riches, the universe is your temple, your presence fills immensity. Yet you have, of your pleasure, created life and communicated happiness; You have made me what I am, and given me what I have; In you I live and move and have my being. Your providence has set the bounds of where I live, and wisely administers all areas of my life."

    • Do please pray for any who are anxious at this time, or facing difficulties and hardships, that they might cast all their cares on God who cares for us and comforts us, and know the peace of God that transcends all understanding.
    • Do continue to pray for our country’s leaders that they might govern wisely and fairly. Pray that God would grant them wisdom as they seek to lead our country through the current difficulties. Pray that God would sustain them and even draw them to himself.

Sunday evening: 27th September

Welcome: Neil Jefferies

Song: “See Him in Jerusalem”

Getting To Know The Speaker

This evening James Faux is going to preach to us. In this video Phil interviews him and his wife Hannah.

Pray:

  • Thank God for James and Hannah, and do please pray for Oak Hill College as it seeks to train up and equip men and women to minister the gospel of Jesus to a needy world.
  • In the light of this morning’s sermon, do pray that God might grant us grace to see people as Jesus sees them – as loved by God, and in need of the gospel of grace to rescue them. Why not pray for some folk you know who are different to you? Pray also that we might realise the times we live in – the day of salvation, and era of the gospel.
  • Finally do please pray for us as a church at this time, that God would continue to increase our love for one another and strengthen our unity in the gospel, even amid restrictions.
